PlayUp Launching Dedicated Olympic Version of Social Networking App

July 24, 2012 – PlayUp, a New York-based developer of a sports-oriented social networking application, is releasing a dedicated Olympics version of the product PlayUp 3.1. The app will feature real-time results, standings, leaderboards, social discussion and other geographically targeted content. PlayUp also is adding third-party integration into the latest app version, allowing brands access into the product.

The app is simple: You pick the game you’d like to chat about, and then join a chat room to talk with fans about that game.

Curry, Jennings ‘hanging with fans’ for NBA Finals

June 12, 2012 – While LeBron James and Kevin Durant will be starring on the court during the NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry and the Milwaukee Bucks’ Brandon Jennings will be starring in the social media world.

PlayUp, the first social network app exclusively for sports fans, socializers and gamers, announced Tuesday that Curry and Jennings will be chatting with hoops fans during the first two games of the NBA Finals.
